The trap is installed between the steam heating equipment and the condensate return header. When opened, the barrel is at the bottom and the valve is fully open. After entering the drain valve, the condensate flows to the bottom of the barrel, filling the valve body and completely immersing the barrel. Then, the condensate is discharged to the return header through the fully open valve. Steam also enters the trap from the bottom of the barrel and occupies the top of the barrel, generating buoyancy. The barrel body slowly rises and gradually moves the lever towards the valve seat until the valve is completely closed.
As the condensate level continues to rise, the force generated continues to increase until it can overcome the pressure difference and open the valve. The trap valve begins to open, and the pressure difference acting on the disc decreases. Air and carbon dioxide gas through the barrel exhaust holes, gathered at the top of the trap.
Types and Principles of 1. Trap

3, condensate flow should be consistent with the trap installation arrow mark.
4. The outlet pipe of the trap cannot be immersed in water.
5, each equipment should be installed independently of a trap.
6, thermostatic trap need to have more than one meter before the heat preservation of the cooling pipe, other forms of traps should be as close to the equipment.
7. If there is condensate recovery after the trap, the outlet pipe of the trap should be connected to the main pipe from the top of the recovery main pipe to reduce back pressure and prevent backflow.
8. If condensate is recovered after the trap, pipelines of different pressure levels should be recovered separately.
9. After the trap, the condensate recovery manifold cannot climb, which will increase the back pressure of the trap and affect the discharge of condensate.
10, after the trap condensate into the recovery before the main pipe to install check valve, to prevent the condensate back to the pipeline.
